ok team, whats the best github replacement that I don't need to pay for or host myself?
@ash is bitbucket still a thing?
i am probably out of date here
@ash I have tried codeberg.org for a while and so far it have worked fine.
But I haven't delved to much into it.
@GoblinQuester @ash what I like about Codeberg is that it is a German non-profit association. Sounds like a business model I’d like to see more of. On the other hand, there are fewer resources to fight back spam and denial of service attacks. They seem to be doing OK, though.
@kensanata @ash Was vaguely aware of that, but it sounds good, my current level of exploration has been git close - works! git push - it works too!
lets use it!
(it was also supersample to move the repos from GitHub).
Ok going with codeberg. More than half the replies recommended it so that's as clear as answer as I'm gonna get. They must be doing something right
