📢📢📢 Urgent call for action against Chat Control!
The EU still wants to pass the infamous "Chat Control" law, that would mandate scanning of all private digital communications, including encrypted messages and photos. This threatens fundamental privacy rights and can transform EU into a digital Gulag. Currently only 3 countries oppose this law, while 15 member states support it and 9 remain indecisive.
This means, the balance can still be shifted! It is very important to influence at least those who are in doubt. For instance, you can contact a MEP (Member of the European Parliament) and demand to oppose to Chat Control.
There is a tool that automates the process of writing and sending such letters:

So, like many folks Ive spent way too much time searching for the perfect note-taking app. Obsidian & Notion demand note titles or organisation, I use GoogleKeep for low friction but its Google & lacks wikilinks. So I made -yet another notes app- but just for me.

I'm putting it up on codeberg just to have it on an online repo for myself but I thought I may as well share it just in case it's valuable to anyone. It's a Flask app so you'll need a webhost that can handle that but otherwise it's about as minimal as I can keep it.
I'm pretty sure the security and santization of inputs is probably terrible, and the performance probably is too, it doesn't even have basic pagination yet because performance hasn't become and issue for me yet, and my code is famously wonky, but it's there and -right now- it's doing all I want.
If you want to make suggestions, PRs, or chat about it I'm open to that, though I'm really trying to keep this super simple and not a thing I need to spend time maintaining.

At the weekend, a group of trans women protested topless at the Scottish Parliament about the recent Supreme Court ruling that the Equality Act defines women as "biological women". The police couldn't arrest them, because to arrest them for showing their breasts would be to define them as women (it's not illegal for men to be topless). And, of course, the right-wing press that reported on it censored their breasts, thereby making their point for them.

Finally built myself a new eurorack case after the powersupply on my old one died and I decided I wanted a second row of space to work with. It's very wobbly and imperfect as is my way, but the Doepfer A-100 PSU seems to be extremely stable so far and it's nice to have something I build myself and the ability to set up my little ambient generative patches for background noise again. #eurorack #modular #punkcrafts
