I think Andor is actually science fiction, whereas Star Wars is usually science fantasy. Not because of the lack of Jedi and space magic, but in the sense of sci-fi trying to make the spectacular elements seem normal and mundane to tell a story that seems real and present, whereas fantasy and science fantasy emphasise the spectacular and strange to provide escapism, transporting the audience out of their normal lives.
