Maybe it's better to just ask more directly: Which orientation of hex grid do you prefer/find easier to use when looking things up on maps?

@ash By "looking up on a map" do you mean with Cartesian coordinates? Because I think I would find that confusing with a hex grid... My inclination is to use pointy-side-up, but maybe just because that's how they did it in the early Heroes of Might and Magic games 😅
