Maybe it's better to just ask more directly: Which orientation of hex grid do you prefer/find easier to use when looking things up on maps?

When you look up an item on a grid, given a numerical index eg(X,Y), do you search horizontally for the correct column before finding the row, or vertically to find the right row and then horizontally for the correct column?

Accessibility friends. If the alt text on an image isn't really adding much, ie describing non-interactive UI elements is it better to just remove it? Ie if I've got an avatar image next to a person's name, is it better to mark that up with an alt text that says "such and such's avatar" to give as much information as possible or is it better to just leave it out cause their name is the next thing anyway?

Add the alt-text more is better 17% (6 votes)

Don't add the alt-text. It's not useful so it's annoying. 5% (2 votes)

I'm not the target for the question. I want to see the results. 76% (26 votes)

Breakthrough! Wasn't really sure it would be possible to export the output from picoSYNTH in any meaningful way, but #pico8 stepped up to the challenge. Now we've got wav-files saved on demand!

Since I'm starting fresh here I'm gonna post about the #robot I made 'cause I'm still super proud of it and I've got some new followers on here ๐ โ
I made a walking robot. Her name is Daisy and I had a lot of fun making her.
Daisy is 3D printed and has 12 servos, 3 for each leg and an ultrasonic distance sensor as her "eyes". #robotics #electronics #arduino ๐งต 1/6
Is it... An asshole move to put a windchime on my balcony given that it's a Swedish apartment so I have the door closed and wouldn't hear it most of the time? Like, I think Swedes would probably consider it imposing onto other people's sound space for no reason? But also I think it would just be nice?
Shoot for the moon. If you miss, reload and fire again. The moon must be stopped at all costs.

Chibi DOOM stuff from a few years ago. Not sure if I had much of a project idea for it as I'm not really a Doom person. I think I last played it in the '90s. By the time I got into PC stuff, Quake, Tribes and UT99 were out.
