Porting my heightmap plugin to Godot 4 is mostly done, I guess there are remaining bugs to discover, but few enough that I could make this #godotengine

Blughhhh. I want to like Obsidian. It's super cool, I love all it's features and extensibility etc. But I can't take capture small notes quick enough or scroll through my list of existing notes as easily as Google Keep. It's insane that Keep is the best tool for this I've found for myself, but I'm still here.

Amazing how many brilliant scientists will look at an LLM "passing" a standardized test and think, "wow, this computer is very smart" and not "standardized tests are very bad at measuring intelligence"

I've tried a couple of the different AI art applications that take a bunch of photos of your face and then generate a model of your face and then render it out in different styles etc, cause I'm forever curious about how I'm seen by different parts of the world, and I haven't liked any of the outputs from any of them. Why not? They all make me look more cis. And not just more passing but more cis in ways that are not my face, in ways that lack the battle scars left by testosterone that say "I fought for my womanhood and I continue to fight for it every day." Who is this girl these machines imagine? With her softer, rounder, prettier features? She's not me.

Another belated #ScreenshotSaturday for #ProjectWeirdLittleGuy this time just showing off the updated Belly system inspired by Valheim's food system. Current food bonuses are now shown on the far right side of the inventory bar.

A weird little guy eats some salt leaf and some cactus fruit. The icons for the things they've eaten appear in the bottom right of the screen with a vertical bar indicating how much longer the bonuses they grant will last.

This is an answer to a stupid problem that I have sometimes when my internet goes out. There has been no obvious way for me to know that the internet has come back on other than to keep refreshing my browser until a web page loads, and that's an annoying thing to occupy my attention.

It's an internet status monitor. It attempts to ping a website, in this case Google because Google is pretty reliably online. If it successfully pings Google (indicating that the internet is up), its eyes glow green. If it cannot ping Google (indicating that the internet is down), its eyes glow red.

While it is booting up and attempting to connect to the internet in the first place, its eyes glow yellow.

This is what it looks like when the internet goes down. In this case I left my router on but unplugged the power to the modem.

Why is it a skull? Because a little box with a red light and a green light would have been boring
